The Dragon Queen

Maturity Rating: Ages 17+. This fictional novelization contains occasional adult language, violence and sexuality that may not be considered appropriate for readers under the age of 17.

The battle for Skyrim’s independence has ended, but dragons rule the skies and the ever-present threat of Thalmor invasion looms closer.

Bound by Mara and the promises they once made to each other, Luthien and Ulfric are forced to make a decision that could tear them apart just when they need to stand united.

Is their love strong enough to see them through the perils and darkness that lie ahead, or will they crumble and fall just when Skyrim needs its heroes to take a stand against an enemy who would devour their world?

Gosh, I keep checking this page like 20 times a day for an update ;_;.

You know what I LOVE about your story?! Its the changement we can feel and see in Luthien. From Taming the Wolf to The Dragon Queen, she grew more mature and she see things differently. And I really like that, its subtle but its there. And I must say its one of the most good story I ever read. (Sorry, I have some difficulty with my writing in english >.< So maybe its awkward) =3

Thank you so much! That is a wonderful compliment. I wanted her to grow naturally through the story, but making that happen isn’t always easy. I really appreciate that you took the time to comment here! It means a lot. =)

Yay, I’m so happy to see Lu finally got a happy ending. :D
I really, really love your stories I love seeing how Lu grew as a person over three stories and her character. I also love how you wrote the Wolf Brothers. I said this on Tumblr but your work gave me a bit of a push to write again for the first time in quite a while.

    • erica says:

:) I remember seeing that on Tumblr! Thank you, and I am so glad to hear you were inspired to start writing again! That is fantastic.

    Ericaaaa~
    I have a random question! c:

How much words does the story have in total? I mean, from the very beginning in Taming the Wolf.
    Just curious. xD

  5. Itchy says:

no more taming the wolf-riding the storm-dragon queen stories ???
    *sadface*

    • erica says:

Actually, yes, there will be some, short stories and novelettes and they will be under the Lost Years tab at the top bar.

      • Itchy says:

are they all like the first chapter, with Luthien never marrying Vilkas or Ulfric ??

        • erica says:

The Lost Years stories will be Farkas and Luthien’s story, so she will have never married Vilkas or Ulfric. I may write some other stories at some point, maybe little short stories here and there about Luthien and Vilkas or Ulfric and Luthien. I’m not sure right now because I am trying to work on some original fiction too. I’m sorry. :(

  6. Cailea of Riften says:

    ……….

    You just banged my brain.

I’m going to go crawl into bed and try to realize what just happened. Pure Gold. I cried probably every chapter in this entire freaking book. Darn you. haha (:

  7. Britte says:

I have read alot In my lifetime but this story as a whole (all parts) put me on a rollercoaster. I was mad and sad (to tears at some points) happy etc. you expressed the emotions of them all so well!
I find that two days later I still have a lingering sadness for Luthien. It made be my girly hormones or I may need a therapist haha
I would love to read future installments as Luthien and Farkas grow together, its like watching two children meet and grow into adults and find who they are. Kudos to you for your amazing writing skills!

I need more Bryn and Ginna as well! ;)

  8. Wendy says:

Beautiful story. A bit of deus ex machina at the end, but it works, and now it makes so much more sense! I started “Missing in Action” first and couldn’t figure out how Luthien got married to Vilkas. It’s all clear now, and I love the way you put it all together.

    • erica says:

Thank you, Wendy. I’ve been going back and writing those “lost years” because I wanted to explore Farkas and Luthien’s second chance. And, of course, Elspeth and I are working the Time Wound to show the repercussions of Luthien’s actions in choosing to accept Akatosh’s gift. It’s fun!

    Just finished reading today…..Awesome!!!
Some of the best descriptions of events of skyrim I have read….

What happened to the attack on thalmor embasssy??

    • erica says:

The shift in time altered events, taking them back to the beginning. There is a strong possibly that the Thalmor battles will come later, but in a different capacity.

  10. Linds says:

Just finished reading this! I will never be able to look at these characters or play the game the same from now on.. Great writing! Absolutely loved it, I lost 2 nights worth of sleeping reading your work :P keep up the awesome work, hope to read plenty more!!
Ps is there any way to read Ginnas’ story without having to go back through Dragon Queen and finding the chapters??

    • erica says:

Hi Linds, Thank you so much for those kind words. If you go up to the top of the site, in the navigation bar there is a tab called Tales from Riften. All the chapters in both To Catch a Thief and The Pilgrim’s Path are individually linked so you an open them one by one, rather than scrolling through other stories. :)
