Drusilla Tullius grew up in Summerset Isle, one of many wards of good faith taken in by the Aldmeri Dominion after the signing of the White-Gold Concordat. Raised by the Altmer, she was trained in the arts of magic, espionage and war and has been acting aid to Ambassador Elenwen for five years.
She believes she’s been brought to Helgen to begin spying on her own father, but when a dragon attacks the Keep just before Ulfric Stormcloak is to be executed, Drusilla is separated from the ambassador.
She has no idea where Elenwen went, if she even lived through the devastation of Helgen. On her own for the first time in her life, she sends word to Markarth to the only man she knows in Skyrim: Justiciar Ondolemar, the Mer who raised her.
In order to keep her safe until Elenwen is ready to put her in her rightful place as spy, Ondolemar buys her Thanedom from Jarl Igmund, but even under threat Ignmund won’t give up that title unless she promises to earn it in time. She and the man who’s been appointed as her housecarl must route out the Forsworn that have been plaguing his lands and help make Markarth strong enough to survive the inevitable Stormcloak rebellion crashing through her gates.
Little does she realize, the conspiracy in Markarth runs deeper than anyone could have ever dreamed, and it’s only a matter of time before she discovers that blood and silver are the only things running through the city’s old stone veins.
